Perry School District's Grading Policy
Letter grades are reported each term based on evidence that students have learned the course standards. This means grades are determined by averaging the percentages earned on each course standard taught to date. Students will have multiple opportunities for practice and teacher feedback before summative assessments. Students and parents may review weekly progress in Infinite Campus. Student progress for each course standard taught to date will be reported as follows:
Missing work will be marked “M” in the gradebook. If the missing work impacts having adequate evidence to report the standard, the standard is marked IE (Insufficient Evidence). IE in a course can lead to INCOMPLETE/no credit for the course.
There is no extra credit.
For further information: see District Grading and Reporting Guidelines
- 90% Assessments (tests, labs, projects in which students must demonstrate the standard)

Reassessment:
Reassessment is initiated by either students or the teacher. Reassessment is permitted for students who are at a higher level of learning than previous assessment. Within the week an assessment grade is posted, the student can work with the teacher to plan for reassessment. Students may retake an assessment if they have completed the practice related to that assessment. Reassessment occurs during Wednesday School between 2:45pm – 5:00pm. The reassessment form can be downloaded and printed by clicking the button below.. |
