You are responsible for completing these assignments and turning them in for grading points. If you need extra time, please discuss this with me upon your return to school. ELA : What's better on a cold winter day than reading? Today you will be reading an article titled, "Should Kids Play Football?" from the February 2105 issue of Scholastic Scope. You may read this article on line using our classroom password (perrypirates1) or you access the file. Next, read and review the teaching/reference page titled, "How to Use Text Evidence." Lastly, you must complete the activity page titled,"Finding and Using Text Evidence." You can either run off a copy from your home printer or write your answers neatly on a sheet of looseleaf notebook paper. This is the work that you must turn in to me for grading.

Today you will be reading another Scholastic Scope article from the Feruary 2015 issue. This one is titled, "How the Taco Conquered America." After reading the article, you will need to complete the QUIZ (by downloading and printing or using notebook paper) AND BOTH CONSTRUCTED RESPONSES. You will need to turn the quiz in for grading when you return to school.
SS: Your assignment is the same as Day 6. Today you will be using another article of your choice from Time for Kids to write a summary and personal reflection.

Before reading today, you must work with the VOCABULARY words to help you understand the article more clearly. After reading, you will need to complete the activity titled, "Central Ideas and Details." You will turn in both the VOCABULARY activity and Central Ideas page for grading when you return to school.
